Early Engagement
Archibeats CIC delivered a 3-week programme designed to engage children and young people in exploring sustainable design ideas to revitalise and improve the youth club premises which serves the Ladywell Adventure Playground.
The programme aimed to explore the idea of retrofitting the current substandard facilities with a functional, youth-focused space.
The programme supported Youth First’s vision to redevelop the youth club.
Due to significant disrepair, including major roof leaks, the portacabins that once served as office space, welfare facilities, and accommodation for young people are no longer safe for use.
The project provided an opportunity for young people to have a say and generate creative solutions for retrofitting the space with professional architects.
The activities during the 3 weeks supported and upskilled young people seeking a career in Architecture, Urban Design and Music production.
